Released on March 7, 2013
Catalog Number: OFM-27006
Seattle jazz quintet, New Bop Brigade, recorded the Blues for Agnes EP during the making of the their eponymous 2005 album, New Bop Brigade. The title track, "Blues for Agnes," is an up-tempo modified blues with solos from tenor saxophonist Travis Ranney, trombonist Chris Stover, and percussionist Ken French. "On the Road With Agnes" parts one and two are variations of the melody from "Blues for Agnes" and were recorded for an independent movie soundtrack. All three tracks were recorded in one take. Agnes, pictured in the cover art, was found on the roadside somewhere in King County, Washington State.
